Welcome to 2026
I've got a lot planned for you this year...
Hello! And welcome to 2026!
I know I’m a little slow in welcoming in the new year, but better late than never. After a short break, I’ve had a hectic start to the year with lots of new clients and some exciting things going on in my clinic.
One of the big changes that those of you who follow the clinic on Instagram might have noticed is more regular posting, including clinic insights and some of the fundamental concepts I use in treating clients, explained. This is thanks to the work of The Radiance Collective, my new social media marketing partner, who is doing an incredible job of structuring things and keeping me accountable. We have lots of big plans for this year, and will be sharing further insights on topics such as;
Women’s health - everything from improving fertility and reducing PMS/PMDD symptoms through to navigating menopause.
Gut health - signs and symptoms to look out for, how gut health connects to EVERYTHING, and some simple, free habits you can incorporate to support your gut.
The foundations of life itself - plus why they’re so important to mitochondrial, nervous system, immune, and hormonal health.
Clinical insights - stories from the clinic, including case studies and lessons learned.
Neurodivergence insights - what I’m seeing from a functional testing perspective and where there’s wiggle room for improving quality of life.
Immune and nervous system function - more insights on autoimmune diseases and their link to nervous system and endocrine function, plus more ways to support immune processes.
IFS and the therapeutic process - including the role that nervous system regulation plays in creating terrain for deeper work to be done safely, and common themes I see in therapy.
And I’m sure there will be much, much more that will come up across the year!
If you’d like to see how the Instagram page is shaping up and follow so you don’t miss any of these insights, head to the page by clicking the button below.
I’m also building out and streamlining more of my own practitioner processes this year, not just to make my work more effective in the clinic, but also to provide more resources for those who prefer not to work with a practitioner or don’t have the financial resources to do so.
I’ll be releasing these resources slowly throughout the year, so keep your eyes peeled for notifications in your emails.
Nature Isn’t Stupid
So why does modern medicine keep treating autoimmune disease as a biological error?
This article was inspired by an Instagram post sent to me by a close friend on new research into the role of FOXP3 mutations in altered immune tolerance and their relationship to chronic diseases like autoimmunity and cancer. On face value, this is brilliant research (so much so that the researchers in question won a Nobel Prize for their work)… but, as any researcher will tell you, the key to useful research is asking the right questions. And I think these researchers are still asking the wrong ones about autoimmune diseases.
In this article, I address why autoimmune diseases are driven more by context than genetics, including some of the most common drivers of autoimmune diseases I see in clinic (backed by real data from testing), plus how that ties in with current research. I think you’ll be surprised at just how much evidence there is that the immune system is going after real threats in autoimmune diseases, not just firing blindly…
Until next time,
Lou x
